GUM ROSIN

  • Rosin is a naturally occurring substance found in trees, predominantly pine trees.
  • Rosin is composed primarily of rosin acids, a class of tricyclic carboxylic acids, but also contains minor amounts of dimerized rosin, fatty acids and unsaponifiable matter.
  • It is distillated to have solid gum rosin and gum turpentine oil. Gum Rosin used as resinous in most chemicals industries.

GUM TURPENTINE OIL

  • Turpentine, the other basic raw material for pine chemicals, is the volatile oil present in pine trees. Gum turpentine is derived by steam-distillation of oleoresins tapped from living trees.
  • Turpentine is distilled in high technology bio refineries to separate the key components that are then used for further processing into a number of different applications, the two primary components recovered are alpha and beta pinene.
  • The properties is a transparent liquid essential oils with pine odor.

ROSIN ESTER

  • —Rosin Esters is derivatives of rosin trough esterification process or can be said as ester gum rosin based on rosin carboxyl modifying. The esterification process is in high temperature (180~300°C) and a long time (6~11 hours) reaction with high activity catalysts. Rosin Esters has excellent performance on acid resistance, alkali resistance and heat stability. Since Rosin Ester has color improvement, it will usefull to get better color appearance for its applications.
  • —Typicaly, as tackifyer resin, Rosin Esters has excellent tacky performance and compatibility in the industrial which applied for EVA based hot melt adhesives and HMPSA for packaging, labels, tapes, sanitary napkins, diapers, bandages, and some other adhesive applications.
